Candidate Forums

LWV Tarrant County moderates  Candidate Forums for local races during election season. As always, we are nonpartisan, never supporting or opposing any political candidate or party.

If attending a forum, please note that campaign literature, buttons, signs, clothing or any other campaign-related items must not be worn, displayed or brought into the room.

To request the League moderate a local forum in your area, please contact voterservices@lwvtarrantcounty.org.
Please call the League Office if you have any questions, 817-348-8683, lwvtarrant@gmail.com.

We need volunteers to serve as moderators, time keepers and organizers. To volunteer to serve as a moderator or assist in a Candidate Forum, please contact voterservices@lwvtarrantcounty.org.

Current Candidate Forums 2024

TBD

Past Candidate Forums 2024

Vote smart this spring: Fort Worth Report, KERA, SteerFW and the League of Women Voters are holding candidate forums for the March 2024 primary elections.

On Feb. 7, Republican candidates in the following races will appear.

- U.S. House District 12

- Texas House District 97

- Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector

On Feb. 8, Democratic candidates in the following races will appear.

- U.S. House District 12

- Texas House District 97
- Tarrant County Commissioner Precinct 1

Fort Worth Report, KERA, SteerFW and the League of Women Voters are nonpartisan organizations.

We chose the most hotly contested and highest-profile races. Unfortunately, time prevents us from having forums for all the races. For the others, we have invited the party chairs to encourage the candidates to meet with the audience after the forums.
