Each May, the League holds its Annual Business Meeting. This is a great opportunity to meet other members, socialize, get involved in your League AND vote on the direction of the League for the coming year.
Our speakers will be Chris Cobler, CEO/Publisher of Fort Worth Report and Nancy Reyna, Business Manager of Fort Worth Report.

Chris Cobler is a longtime news leader, starting his career as a reporter in his hometown at the Topeka (Kan.) Capital-Journal and then working at newspapers in Colorado, South Dakota and Texas, where he was editor and publisher of the Victoria Advocate. As editor, he led two newspapers to recognition as the best in the country for their size and to national honors for diversity. He also received the first Donald J. Reynolds Nieman Fellowship for community journalism at Harvard University; the Texas Daily Newspaper Association Editorial Achievement Award for courage and commitment to open government; and the Texas Press Association Frank W. Mayborn Award for Community Leadership. He is a current board member and past president of the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas.

Nancy Reyna is a longtime Fort Worth resident who brings a varied background to her role managing the business operations of our nonprofit newsroom. She worked in human resources and marketing at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram; spent five years at John Peter Smith Hospital; and most recently worked in marketing and operations at
360WEST Magazine. In her off hours, she enjoys travel, fitness and going for walks with pups Jango and Max.
This meeting is open to the public but only members may vote on the 2023-2024 budget, proposed changes to the bylaws and League Program, as well as election of officers and directors.
This year the Annual Meeting will be held at the beautiful Fort Worth Botanic Gardens - Lecture Link (located within the Garden Center, to the right down the hall through the double doors as you enter the front of the main building. It is the room by the auditorium). We will have a continental breakfast available and a silent auction. Seating is limited so register today. See you there!
Registration fee: $20
Registration deadline is Monday, May 15
ATTENTION: be sure to download and review the Workbook prior to the meeting. It includes all the info you need covering everything we will be voting on: budget, bylaws, nominations, and program.
